The recently released Minecraft Dungeons has a lot of diversity when it comes to character builds. When it comes to building your character in Minecraft Dungeons, you need to the main weapon, a ranged one, a piece of armor, and 3x artifacts. In this guide, we will walk you through some of the best Minecraft Dungeons builds that you can try in the game.
Minecraft Dungeons Builds
Similar to builds found in other titles, none of the builds mentioned in the guide should be taken as they are. Remember that building your character in Minecraft Dungeons is all about theorycrafting and seeing what works the best for you.
Keeping in this mind, I would recommend you to play around with different pieces and see what works the best for you. Moreover, if you have any other exciting builds, be sure to let us know!
Minecraft Dungeon Build #1 – Legolas
- Weapon: Lightning Bow
- Armor: Hunter’s Armor (Common)
- Artifact #1: Boots of Swiftness
- Artifact #2: Arcane Horn
- Artifact #3: Firework Arrows
As the name suggests, this build revolves around using a bow. Although the armor piece we are using is not Unique, it provides +30 ranged damage and +10 arrows per bundle.
Speaking of Artifacts, both the Boots of Swiftness and Arcane Horn will ensure that you are able to distance yourself from enemies since we are relying on ranged damage. As for Firework Arrows, they are incredibly good for AoE damage and clearing group of adds quickly. You should also consider having the Fuse Shot and Multishot which will make the build a whole lot stronger.
One of the downsides of using the build is you will probably run out of arrows more than you would like. Keeping this in mind, it is a good idea to have a decent melee weapon of your choice. However, another good thing about Hunter’s Armor is the bonus arrows reserves that you get for picking arrows.

Minecraft Dungeon Build #2 – Undying
- Weapon: Unique Truthseeker (Enigma Resonator, Rampaging)
- Armor: Grim Armor (Health Synergy)
- Ranged Weapon: Unique Hunter’s Promise (Radiance Shot, Chain Reaction)
- Artifact #1: Fireworks Arrows
- Artifact #2: Light Feather
- Artifact #3: Death Cap Mushroom
Truthseeker allows you to deal increased damage to wounded enemies +2 Soul Gathering. The armor we are going with, although common, provides +3% life steal aura, additional HP, and +100% souls gathered. Hunter’s Promise, on the other hand, has a chance of creating a healing circle. You should also consider enchanting it with Chain Reaction to deal more AoE damage to groups of adds.
Enchantments on Truthseeker are all about increasing your ATK damage and ATK speed based on the number of souls collected. Lastly, with the Health Synergy, you will be able to regain HP after activating an artifact.
Speaking of artifacts, we are going with Fireworks Arrows, Light Feather, and Death Cap Mushroom. With these, you will be able to activate them over and over again to regain HP from your Health Synergy – not to mention the ATK speed.

Minecraft Dungeon Build #3 – DPS is All I Need!
- Weapon: Heartstealer (Sharpness, Swirling)
- Armor: Unique Wither Armor (Potion Barrier, Final Shout)
- Ranged Weapon: Scatter Crossbow (Growing, Multishot)
- Artifact #1: Fireworks Arrows
- Artifact #2: Torment Quiver
- Artifact #3: Death Cap Mushroom
With Heartstealer, you will be able to lifesteal from mobs, ensuring that you stay in the fight for as long as possible. Wither Armor has to be one of the best armor pieces in the game. Not only does it provide you with increased HP, -35% damage reduction, and 3% lifesteal aura but enchanting it with Potion Barrier increases the damage reduction to -90% (for 9 seconds) after using a potion. You can take something else in place of Final Shout if you want.
For your ranged weapon, you should consider the Scatter Bow and enchant it with Growing and Multishot. To be honest, you only need Multishot and are free to choose anything instead of Growing.
Coming to artifacts, we are going with Fireworks Arrows, Torment Quiver, and Death Cap Mushroom. With the Torment Quiver, you will be able to slow enemies and increase your ranged damage. Death Cap Mushroom, on the other hand, should provide you with increased movement speed that synergizes really well with Heartstealer.

Minecraft Dungeon Build #4 – Mountain that Walks
- Weapon: Claymore (Exploding)
- Armor: Unique Stalwart Armor
- Ranged Weapon: Anything
- Artifact #1: Golem Kit
- Artifact #2: Anything
- Artifact #3: Anything
With the Stalwart Armor, you will gain access to a ridiculous amount of tankiness, increased HP, increased defenses after using a potion, and a chance to reflect enemy attacks. However, one important thing that you need to keep in mind is that using the armor affects your movement speed by a whole lot.
Claymore should be your choice of melee weapon here which not only has incredible damage but also pushes back targets. When enchanted with Exploding, enemies defeated with Claymore will explode dealing AoE damage to nearby enemies.
Lastly, coming to artifacts, you can choose to go with anything you want but I recommend running the Golem Kit which should allow you summon a Golem to tank for you. The artifact also has a low cooldown time of 30 seconds so you can have it up and running all the time.
