Cisco Secure Cloud Insights with JupiterOne hopes to provide businesses with clearer visibility of all their network assets, pathways to identify security and compliance vulnerabilities as well as ways to fast-track investigations and respond to issues.
JupiterOne and Cisco announced an expanded cloud security and security operations partnership on Monday designed to provide businesses with a wide range of cybersecurity services.

Al Huger, senior vice president of Cisco Security Platform and Response, told ZDNet that more than ever, when the combined work is underway, security teams need the ability to display their applications, whether they’re stored in a public cloud, private cloud, or in a private data center.
Huger explains: “Cisco Secure Cloud Insights with JupiterOne provides a deep context for the security situation across an organization’s combined IT environments and cloud roots.” “When combined with SecureX, Secure Cloud Insights simplifies the protection of users, devices, data, and applications anywhere and anywhere, across any network or cloud; from head office to branch office to home office.”
The two companies said Secure Cloud Insights will provide “comprehensive public cloud insights and inventory, relationship mapping to navigate cloud-based entities and access, and security compliance reports.”
Cisco executives said the company has seen organizations struggle with the proliferation of IT and face visibility issues when it comes to their network assets.
Companies will be able to track and standardize data across multi-cloud and combined environments using Cloud Insights.
“Cisco profited from this first when it deployed JupiterOne to track its public cloud footprint earlier this year. Cloud Insights provides a knowledge graph of aggregate metadata related to configurations, access policies, settings, tags, rules, etc. that govern interactions between entities,” they said in a statement.
“Entities including users, roles, groups, policies, databases, data warehouses, devices, code repository, storage groups (e.g., AWS S3), cloud versions (e.g., AWS EC2), storage areas, functions, etc. APIs import this data from about fifty pre-defined integrations including public cloud environments, vulnerability scanners protection, endpoint protection and network security tools, code and development repository, identity providers, and more. Custom integration is also supported using SDK and webhook. ”
The platform comes with a search function that “maps to more than 550 pre-created queries, with the option to create custom queries.”
