Titan Beta is the second boss in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint’s Titan Raid. It’s completely different to the first boss, and probably like nothing else you’ve ever faced in all your time playing games. In this guide we’re going to talk you through the encounter, and help you deal with it in the best way possible.
If you need to beat the first boss, Baal, then check out our guide here.
Titan Beta Phase 1 – Map
This boss consists of two key phases. The first is arguably the most important. You need to take down this super computer whilst the room slowly fills with toxic gas that’s going to choke you and your team. In order to do that, you need to check the room’s map, then activate the correct nodes around the room.
The best way to do this is to assign one player to the map. They’ll be yelling out instructions to the rest of the team. It’s the map player’s job to shout when the next node becomes active. They need to tell the other players where to go, keeping everything moving smoothly.
There are a number of systems that players use. Some of them break the map into different parts, others use the colours and numbers. Figure out your system with your tea, before you get to this point. If you go in with no system, you’ll probably die.
The players who are not on the map need to be pressing the nodes that the map player calls out. If you’re waiting for another player to tap a node, then start shooting the drones that are spawning. These guys are going to fill up the room fast if you don’t deal with them, and they’ll deal with you. Shoot away while you can, and make everyone’s life a little easier.
Titan Beta Phase 2 -Damage
Once the buttons have been pressed, and the fans activated, the gas is going to clear from the room. This will open up the three key servers for the super computer. You need to get to a point where you can see at least one, and start shooting as soon as you can.
Only target one sever for the first damage phase. Once you destroy a part of the boss, a swarm of armoured drones will come in and try to kill you all. If you take two servers down, you’ll die.
Instead, go through the map phase one more time, then take down the other server parts. Even once you’ve destroyed all of these parts, you’ll need to repeat the map phase, because gas will begin filling the room over again.
This phase is made easier with direct communication. Playing with randoms will not work, unless one or two of you are extremely competent and in communication with each other. Take your time, and make sure you’re playing with friends, because this can get frustrating.
That’s all there is to know about taking down Titan Beta. It’s a fairly complicated boss fight, but one that rewards you with some really awesome gear.
