While building the island of your dreams, you will sometimes come across a few inconveniences. Rocks scattered all around your island can be one such inconvenience. In this guide, we will walk you through everything you need to know about how to move rocks in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Move Rocks in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Before we begin, do note that rocks in AC: New Horizons are not as useless as one might think. They can provide you with Iron Nuggets, Stone, Clay, and even Bells. However, if they are causing you inconvenience, here is how you can move them in the game.
The first thing that you will need to move rocks in New Horizons is a shovel. With a shovel in hand, the next thing you will need is to gather some fruits. Any fruit of your choice. Eating fruits will help you gain strength to break the rocky formations. And while you can eat up to 10 fruits at a time, you do not really need more than one.
After eating a fruit, approach the rock you wish to relocate and use your shovel to break the rock. Provided that you are lucky, you will receive Bells and other materials. However, this is where things get a little interesting.
The rock that you break will respawn in a random location the very next day. However, do note that only a single rock can respawn in a day. This means that if you manage to break 20 rocks in a day, only one will respawn in a different location the very next day. The remaining 19 will respawn in the coming 19 days – one per day.
Keeping this in mind, it is a good idea to break only a single rock per day. Also, since you can only move one rock in a day, it will probably take you a long while to build your Rock Garden if you are looking forward to it.
