The Barbed Terror is one of the bosses added to Remnant: From the Ashes with the release of Swamps of Corsus DLC. To find the Barbed Terror, you need to head over to the Throne of Barbs, Needle Lair dungeon and find him inside. In this guide, we will walk you through everything you need to know about defeating the Barbed Terror in Swamps of Corsus.
Remnant: From the Ashes Swamps of Corsus the Barbed Terror
The first thing you will notice about the Barbed Terror is that he does not move. However, it does not mean he is a pushover.
His left-hand is sort of a cleaver in itself which he uses to attack – one is a vertical attack that can easily be dodged by running to a side and the other one is a horizontal swipe which can also be dodged.
If you see the Bared Terror raise his cleaver-hand, it means it will perform a vertical attack. And if you see him rear a little back, it means a horizontal swipe attack is coming. It should not be too difficult to learn the patterns. Aside from this, the Barbed Terror can also summon homing barbs. These barbs can erupt from multiple locations.
If you see them coming out from the walls on the either side of the boss, simply walking toward the boss should let you avoid them. However, if you see them coming out from the platform the boss is rooted on, you will need to dodge on either side to avoid taking damage.
Also, note that the Barbed Terror is incredibly weak against fire so use that whenever you get the chance. And before I forget, his weakspot is his head so always aim for the head!
Successfully killing the Barbed Terror will reward you with Barbed Sinew which you can turn into the Unstable Quills mod. You will also receive 3x Glowing Fragment, 4x Lumenite Crystal, 1x Trait Point, and some Scrap.
