The launch of the PS5 is around the corner. We have been getting listings and rumors regarding when the PS5 is going to launch and when people will be able to pre-order it but now Sony is officially sending out pre-order invites to selected people. Sony has started sending out invites and has updated the pre-order FAQs page which means that people will be able to pre-order the next generation console soon. So who are going to get these invites? According to the FAQs website; “selection is based on previous interests and PlayStation activities”.
Sony has confirmed that people that are selected for the pre-order invites will get notified via email. If you are invited you will be able to pre-order the PS5 and the accessories of the console as well. The products that you can pre-order include:
- 1 PS5 Console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition
- 2 DualSense wireless controllers
- 2 DualSense charging stations
- 2 Pulse 3D wireless headsets
- 2 Media remotes
- 2 HD Cameras
These are the number of items that you can pre-order per PSN account. The invitation is going to be valid for a specific time. PS5 console pre-order reservations will be catered to on a first come first serve basis. You do not have to pre-order all the products that are mentioned above if you only want the console then you can order that. The expiration time of the invite will be mentioned in the email that selected people get. Note that you can only pre-order a single PS5 console per invite and per PSN ID.
Sony also mentioned that people that have a US address will be catered. If your address is outside of the USA then the pre-order will be canceled.
